DreamHost’s AI website and app builder can now build websites from PDFs and text files, with a new per-project media library and permanent file links
DreamHost®, a global leader in web hosting, Managed WordPress services, and innovative AI tools for businesses and developers, today announced that Remixer, its conversational AI website and app builder, can now build websites directly from customers’ own documents.
Remixer users can now upload a PDF, CSV, Markdown, or plain text file, and Remixer reads its contents while generating or editing a site. A restaurant can hand over its menu, an agency its service list, or a nonprofit its program descriptions, rather than retyping or pasting any of it into a prompt. Files are parsed during generation, meaning Remixer is reading them, rather than storming them as downloadable website attachments, making future site updates faster.
DreamHost’s launch of this feature targets a moment when many customers often stall when building websites or applications: building content. Remixer has already been generating complete first drafts of websites after users supply a single text prompt. Allowing users to now also provide Remixer with additional pre-made documents gives it much more context (and content) to work with, so that “first draft” arrives in a form that’s much closer to “finished.”
“Many of our customers already have ‘the thing’ they want on their website sitting in a PDF somewhere,” said Ralph Castro, VP of Product at DreamHost. “It could be a menu, a mission statement, or even just a business card. Asking them to retype its contents into a chat box was a blocker to entry that didn’t need to exist, so we happily built document intake into Remixer.”
The release also includes:
Remixer is available with a 30-day free trial, no credit card required, and paid plans start at $9.99 per month.
